These records are kept separately from website files and preserved during updates. Audience estimates described below are separate from the hosting provider’s technical logs.

Audience estimates

Our first-party audience service records page paths without query parameters or form content. No analytics cookie is set. Network address and browser header are used transiently to derive a site-specific daily identifier; their raw values are not stored in the audience database. Detailed events are retained for 90 days. Daily totals and page-view counts, without visitor identifiers or IP addresses, are retained without expiry. These statistics are accessible only to the owner. They do not reconstruct past visits.

Limits and preferences

Sessions use a 30-minute inactivity window and the statistical identifier changes daily. These are estimates, not identified people. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. The local opt-out preference applies only to this browser. Known bots are filtered imperfectly.

Accounts and messages

Account verification and marketing consent are separate. Registration and customer access use a one-hour, single-use email link sent through Infomaniak. Updates require an explicit choice and email confirmation. You can unsubscribe in your account without removing orders. A secure, necessary session cookie signs you out after eight hours. Payments remain disabled. The owner login uses a separate secure session cookie required for authentication. A browser demonstration may retain local projects; export them before clearing browser data.

Support conversations are private and linked to your verified email. Questions, replies and their status are retained for follow-up independently of website releases. Unconfirmed questions are removed after 30 days when new requests are processed. No private message is automatically published in the FAQ. To request deletion, contact contact@retrosound.net, subject to applicable obligations. A support request does not subscribe you to updates.

Purchases and your rights

Customer and order records are kept separately from website files. Retention depends on purpose and applicable legal duties; a marketing unsubscribe must not erase a purchase. Contact Retrosound to ask about your information. Infomaniak hosts the data and sends confirmation emails. Expired technical tokens are purged after 30 days when new requests are processed; unconfirmed signups older than 30 days are then removed, except customer records. Consent confirmations and withdrawals are retained to follow your preferences. Data controller: SARL COCOON, France. The DANA browser instrument

DANA opens in your browser and loads its resources from Retrosound. Files you select are read by the instrument in that browser. Some preferences and work are stored there: export your projects before clearing browser data or changing profiles. Audio input and MIDI features request browser permissions when you activate them. Downloading sound banks from the website uses your verified account separately. Your public bank selection may be kept in this browser for one hour so you can return to it after signing in. No account credentials are stored with this selection.
